Moods...

With the approach of winter, before the festive season, we are trying to hang on a little longer to the warmth of the summer. Not just in terms of climate, but warmth as in mood and spirits, warmth as a light…

 



 

 

That's why we head south, about 750 km from Paris, to Arles…

 

Its varied landscape and exceptional climate along with its 2000 years of history makes it an attractive tourist destination.

 

The many 16, 17 and 18 century ochre wall buildings, some of them with their Roman-tiled roofs are well preserved. 

The Grand Hôtel Nord-Pinus is housed in one of these buildings located in the heart of Arles, at the Place du Forum.

Another time, another mood…  

 

 

 

 

She performed in the Revue Nègre in Paris and sang "Mes deux amours" around the world, but she chose the Périgord to raise her 12 adopted kids "Her rainbow tribe". 

Josephine Baker bought the Château des Milandes with many projects in mind to contribute to the region. 

 

Unfortunately, she couldn't stay long enough to work on this project. We invite you to visit this lively château in the Discovery column.
